The Challenge
Reliable pumping of the process liquid which is charged with hard, solid
particles from crushed circuit boards; concentrate can go up to 10% in
volume and size up to 200 µm.

Application Details
An engineering company provides major customers in various industries a range of services from
technical studies, to process design, engineering and turnkey solutions.

For a pilot in a waste treatment plant, this customer needed an injection pump to deliver a wide flow
rate range at high pressure, whilst reliably handling the water and effluents with solid particles.

Initial tests were run with a traditional diaphragm metering pump (Bran+Luebbe); this technology failed
due to the particle sedimentation build-up within the valves.
