In metering and dosing applications, from initial process stages to water treatment plants, the WANNER Hydra-Cell pump has a number of advantages over traditional metering pumps. Its compact design is immediately obvious, saving installation space and contributing directly to other benefits. They include: savings in acquisition costs, reduced energy consumption and lower maintenance costs – adding up to Life Cycle Costs which on independent investigation came out ‘best in class’.  Moreover, flow is virtually pulseless, reducing or eliminating any requirement for pulsation dampeners.

Hydra-Cell pumps are available with tri-clamp hygienic connections and polished internal components to 0.4 Ra.

Seal-less design (the pump has no dynamic seals in contact with the process liquid) means that non-lubricating solvents and liquids containing suspended particles can be pumped reliably at pressure in HPLC (High Pressure Liquid Chromatography), ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and ultra-high pressure reverse osmosis systems.

Pilot plants used in process development and production installations for handling the waste stream are typical applications.

Tank and tote wash-down for pharmaceuticals

On containers of any size, from big tanks to totes, drums, mixer vessels and tanker trucks, Hydra-Cell’s seal-less technology allows the handling of the contaminated, recycled fluids that can ruin packed or sealed pumps. Moreover the pumps are available in a wide choice of materials compatible with some of the harshest cleaning agents in use, including caustics and MEK, and can deliver these solutions at the pressures that successful high-impact cleaning often requires.
